# Troubleshooting & FAQ

Frequently asked questions and solutions for common setup issues.

***

### 1. Music does not auto-play in browser preview

* **Reason**: Modern web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) enforce strict "Autoplay Policy" that blocks audio playback until a user clicks on the page.
* **Solution**: Click anywhere on the screen, or test inside FiveM directly where CEF policies do not block local audio playback.

***

### 2. Player name shows as "SURVIVOR" or "PLAYER" instead of real name

* **Reason**: FiveM's `deferrals.handover` requires the resource to load through the server connection phase. In standalone browser preview (`localhost:3000`), no FiveM server is connected.
* **Solution**: When connecting to an actual FiveM server with `server.lua` enabled, your Steam/FiveM username will automatically appear.

### 3. How do I add my own background video?

1. Convert your video to `.mp4` format (1080p, 60fps recommended).
2. Place the video file inside `html/assets/video/` (e.g. `myvideo.mp4`).
3. Open `html/config.js` and update:

   ```javascript
   background: {
       type: "video",
       videoFile: "assets/video/myvideo.mp4",
       ...
   }
   ```

### 4. How do I add my own music tracks?

1. Put your `.mp3` audio files into `html/assets/music/`.
2. In `html/config.js`, add your song to the `playlist` array:

   ```javascript
   playlist: [
       {
           name: "My Custom Song",
           artist: "Custom Artist",
           file: "assets/music/mysong.mp3"
       }
   ]
   ```

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://zynoxdev.gitbook.io/docs/zynox-resources/zx_loading_screen/troubleshooting.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
